3KG is a small company
based in Sapporo, Japan
3KGは札幌を拠点に活動する小さな会社。主に小売業とデザイン業を営んでいます。小売部門は、ロングライフデザインをテーマとする店舗形式の活動体であるD&DEPARTMENT PROJECTの一員として、世界、日本、そして北海道で長く続いている、それぞれの土地らしいデザインを発掘し紹介、つまり販売。デザイン部門は、企業や自治体のブランディングや、広告宣伝のための印刷物・ウェブサイト・映像を制作。これからは、小売りとデザインの中間にぼんやり見えてきた、新しい店のありかた、もしくは新しいデザインのあり方を探っていきます。

3KGは2001年、フリーランスのデザイナーが集まり、デザイン会社としてスタート。ポスターなどのグラフィックデザインを起点として、ウェブサイトや映像制作など好奇心の赴くままに活動範囲を広げてきました。そして2007年11月に D&DEPARTMENT PROJECT HOKKAIDO by 3KG をオープン。
